How Coupons and Promos Help You Save Money on Your Favorite Products

Save Money On Coupons, Promotions And  Discounts

We don’t have to tell you that the current economic situation is not all that great, whether in India, or for that matter in the rest of the world. Prices increase almost every time, and the incomes are not keeping up, which is why it is so important for people to save money, and not end up spending more than they can afford to.

What do you do to save money generally? You probably try to avoid eating out or ordering pizzas, or maybe you decide against paying for some of your favorite channels on your Tata Sky or Airtel Digital subscription. Maybe you’ve decided against taking your car to the office and instead choose to walk all the way instead.

These are all good ways to save money, but we have got a more effective and much better way to do the same – using coupons and promos to save money on your favorite products.

At Cashfat.com, we provide coupons and promo codes on the best offers from over 500 online retailers in India including the likes of Tatacliq, Clovia, Nnnow, Myntra, Jabong, Yepme, Joybynature, Biba, Snapdeal, Shopcj, Lemall and many more.

Our way of saving – with the help of coupons and promo codes – is far more useful and will enable to save money with every purchase. We are also a cashback site, which means in addition to saving money with the coupons and promo codes on Cashfat, you can earn rewards on every purchase, in form of cash that is deposited into your account.

In this article, we want to show you more. We want to show you how to maximize your savings from the coupons and promos at Cashfat.

There are a lot of people in countries such as the UK and the USA who follow a TV show on saving money on online shopping called as “Extreme Couponing”. These shoppers save tens of thousands of dollars every year through coupons and promo codes.

The savings on each purchase are only a couple of dollars or so, but they add up to quite a lot after a year of online shopping. We expect much the same in India. The potential of coupons and cashback sites such as Cashfat is only now being truly realized.

Here are a few things you can do to save money on your online shopping with Cashfat…

#1: Stock up on the coupons and promo codes – Purchasing more coupons can qualify you for a better value coupon eventually. Combine your shopping and buy as many items as possible from the same retailer, such as Amazon or Flipkart, to get maximum benefit from the purchase.

#2: Find a retailer that offers free shipping – If one retailer does not offer free shipping to go with the coupon, find another that does. Cashfat is more than just a coupon and cashback website – we are also a price comparison site. You can compare offers from various retailers and decide which one suits you better. For example, you can find out which retailer offers free shipping and which does not.

#3: Compare the Promo Codes – As said earlier, Cashfat works as a price comparison site. Besides prices of various offers, you can compare the coupons and promo codes too. You can find out which brand has the best money saving promos or coupon codes.  You will get a roundup of deals from over 500 retailers on Cashfat.

#4: Never Pay for Coupons and Promo Codes – It has come to our notice that there are a number of coupon sites in India that ask for a membership fee. That makes us cringe, because coupons are supposed to be free. You should NEVER pay for coupons and promos. If any coupon site asks you for a payment or a membership fee, you can rest assured that it is a fraudulent operation. Report such sites to the authorities and save others from falling prey to them.

#5: Follow Cashfat on Facebook – Another great way of saving money on coupons and promos on Cashfat is to follow us on Faceboook.  This way you will get access to instant updates on our latest promotions and exclusive offers, exclusively for our social media followers.

You can follow our Facebook page by clicking here.

Flipkart Big Billion Day vs Amazon Indian Great Festival Sale

Flipkart Big Billion Day vs Amazon Indian Great Festival Sale

The great Indian festival season is not far away, which could only mean one thing – a renewed war for dominance among India’s biggest ecommerce players. India’s two biggest online marketplaces Flipkart and Amazon are at it again, fighting for leadership in the hotly contested ecommerce space with flagship sales this October.

Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale is expected to start on October 3, 2016. But Amazon’s Indian Great Festival Sale starts on October 1, 2016, a couple of days earlier. Will the early start give Amazon an edge in the Big Billion Day vs. Great Festival Sale battle?

Amazon India plans to outspend Flipkart by two to three times in marketing and advertising. Flipkart, on the other hand, intends to focus on providing a great experience to all buyers.

Flipkart has an edge over Amazon, which is its very loyal customer base, which has stuck to it for the better part of the last decade. The Big Billion Day is Flipkart’s flagship event and it is expected to be really massive this year as well.

Flipkart expects to spend Rs. 30 crore on advertising and marketing on the Big Billion Day. The sale will be managed by a very senior Flipkart executive, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, who was earlier with Tiger Global Management.

What’s new with Big Billion Day? Well, Myntra is expected to participate in the Big Billion Day this year, for the very first time. Myntra, as you would know was acquired by Flipkart in 2014 and is today the leader in the online fashion segment. Myntra is also bigger than ever before, having acquired Jabong in July this year.

What about Amazon? Amazon’s Great Festival Sale will run from October 1 to 5. It will have a much bigger marketing spend than Flipkart, at Rs. 130 crore. Amazon had actually planned to start the sale from October 15, but was decided to hold it earlier in order to compete with Flipkart.

Mind you, there is no official confirmation over the dates given by us on either Amazon Indian Great Festival Sale or Flipkart Big Billion Day as both companies have declined to be drawn into the specifics. Our projections are based on information given by insiders in the industry. Once there is an official confirmation on the two big days, we will be sure to update you quickly.

A spokesperson from Amazon did speak the Economic Times, one of India’s top business newspapers and said, “We do not comment on future plans. However, we remain committed to ensuring that our customers get the most exciting and widespread offers and selections. We continue to enable sellers from across the country to offer their products to customers in India as well as globally, building a richer customer experience, helping develop the online ecosystem and thus help spread festive cheer across the value chain.”

That’s fair. But before one gets lost in this battle – Flipkart Big Billion Day vs. Amazon Indian Great Festival Sale – it would help to have a look at the current state of Indian ecommerce.

flipkart-big-billion-day-2016-sale                                   amazon-great-indian-festive-sale 2016

Analysts say that ecommerce companies in India have had a sluggish growth in 2016, with gross merchandise value declining by 7% to $13 billion this quarter. For all Indian online retailers, sales pick up in the last quarter of the year, as that’s when you have most of the festivals, such as Diwali, Navratri, Christmas and New Year.

This is true not just in India, but in the rest of the world as well. So, at the time of this writing – 13th September – we are entering the most crucial phase of the year for online retailers in India. How each company – Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and hundreds of others –perform during this period will decide their future in Indian ecommerce.

The race for dominance in Indian ecommerce is very much on. The question is who rises to the occasion and latches on to the opportunity. Will it be Flipkart, or will it be Amazon? Don’t count Snapdeal out, as they are coming up with their own special sale.

But why wait for Big Billion Day or the Great Indian Festival Sale, you can always save money, any day of the year, by shopping at Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal via Cashfat, India’s #1 cashback and coupon website. Have fun shopping!

India’s Top eCommerce Entrepreneurs

India’s Top eCommerce Entrepreneurs

CashFat.com is a young Indian internet start-up that is one of the best cashback websites in India. We help you make money even as you shop with our cashback coupons.

At CashFat, we are fascinated by some of the biggest entrepreneurs in Indian eCommerce, who have built this huge industry in India, which is projected to be worth $120 billion by 2020 by Morgan Stanley Research.

What is interesting is most of India’s ecommerce entrepreneurs are of a relatively young age and are from middle class families. Which goes to show that if you aim high, anything is possible in India.

Here, we discuss some of India’s top eCommerce entrepreneurs.

Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal (Flipkart)

Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal are not related, although everyone thinks they are. They are the biggest players in India’s eCommerce industry. The young men were best friends from childhood, having done their schooling at OP Jindal Modern School, Hisar, and then going on to study Computer Science at IIT Delhi.

They also worked together briefly for Amazon, and were inspired to create an Indian eCommerce giant just like Amazon. That led to the birth of Flipkart in 2007. Flipkart was the first big player in Indian eCommerce and a 100% Indian company.

Flipkart began by selling books initially but gradually started selling more and more products such as electronics, furniture, home appliances, clothes and apparel and more as they became bigger and bigger.

The people of India fell in love with Flipkart and for many in the country online shopping means Flipkart and nothing else. Today Flipkart is worth $17 billion because of Sachin and Binny’s inspirational leadership and the friends are individually worth $1.3 billion each. What a remarkable story!

Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal (Snapdeal)

Snapdeal founders Rohit Bansal and Kunal Bahl are highly educated young men from middle class families who dared to dream big. Kunal did his MBA from Wharton Business School and Rohit went to IIT Delhi. The duo could have settled for a cushy job abroad and live a comfortable life, but they wanted to do something different.

They were bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and started a number of ventures. None of them succeeded, till they started Snapdeal. Snapdeal was earlier intended to be based on the popular deal-a-day site Groupon, but the friends realized that the potential for making money would be a lot more if they made it into a typical eCommerce site.

Snapdeal has gone from strength to strength since then and is today reckoned to be one of the 3 biggest online shopping sites in India, along with Flipkart and Amazon. The young start-up has grown in size and made major acquisitions such as Exclusively.in, and Freecharge.

Bhavish Aggarwal (Ola)

Bhavish Aggarwal was a brilliant student who did his Computer Science from IIT Bombay, and had a great career with Microsoft Research. But he wanted more out of his life, which was to become an entrepreneur. He did that by teaming up with a friend Ankit Bhati and starting Ola Cabs, which was supposed to be the Indian version of Uber. Ola has gone on to achieve spectacular success since then. Today, Ola is worth $5 billion, which is remarkable for an Indian start-up. For many Indians, going out means using the Ola app to call a cab; Ola is a household name in India today.

An Easy Way to Make Money Even as You Shop Online

An Easy Way to Make Money Even as You Shop Online

We all love shopping. Most of us shop till we drop. Now, with online shopping becoming so big in India, a lot of us find ourselves spending even more than we used to in the past.

We look for the best coupons; we grab the best deals that come our way. We boast about the cost savings of 45% achieved on an LED TV to our friends.  We see deals all the time. Don’t you wish you make money even as you get the best discounts as you shop online?

If you haven’t come across the concept of cashback sites before, we suggest getting up to speed real fast, because they can be really useful to you. Cashback websites should not be confused with cashback rewards offered by credit card companies, those things are different.

Essentially, cashback websites allow you to earn some of the money back on your purchases made through their website. So if you buy a book on Amazon or a computer on Snapdeal through a link on a cashback website, you will get some of the money back.

Cashfat is the best cashback website in India, and helps you get real cash back on your online purchases, both big and small. But here’s what you should know before getting started with making purchases on Cashfat – it is not a get rich scheme and it’s not a trap or a scam either.

There is a very simple methodology behind it, which is the same as that behind popular international cashback websites such as TopCashBack and Quidco. Basically, Cashfat will help you earn money on the purchases made through its extensive network.

Cashfat should not be confused with a site such as Groupon which offers direct coupons or discounts on products through a bidding process. What Cashfat does is to allow you to look through the different products on its site, which range from clothes to shoes, electronics to cosmetics, and buy them from over 150 e-commerce retailers in India.

Cashfat has an excellent relationship with a number of e-retailers, including Amazon India, Flipkart, Jabong, Snapdeal and more. It has one of the biggest cashback networks in India. It has a simple process, which is both fast and elegant. You can easily have a cashback of anywhere between 3% and 10% by making purchases on Cashfat, depending on what you buy.

So how does the Cashback process on Cashfat work?

Well, the process is simple, as we said. First, create an account at Cashfat. The process takes only a couple of minutes of your valuable time. Creating an account allows you to track all visited links, all purchases made, any pending payments, any cash outs and so on.

Okay, now you have an account at Cashfat. The next step is what you love to do more than anything in the world – shop till you drop! Shop for what you want by product categories or by the various retailers. If there is a deal you like, on which you would like to earn some cashback, just click on the Cashfat link to that product.

The Cashfat link is essentially referral link. It takes you to the original product listing on the official website of the retailer, whether it is Flipkart, Jabong or Snapdeal.

Once you are at the retailer’s website, through the referral link from Cashfat, make your purchase in the normal way as you would, whether on Flipkart, Jabong or Snapdeal. That’s it.

You will be delivered the product and Cashfat takes a maximum of 72 hours to send you the cashback. The cashback will be reflected on your Cashfat account as soon as the retailer makes a payment to Cashback in return for the referral. You will get a share of the commission paid to Cashback. That’s how you will make money.

Once your cashback money hits a threshold of Rs. 250 on the Cashfat website, you will be able to withdraw it. You can transfer the money to your bank for free. Isn’t this process simple and elegant?

Everyone wins in this process – the retailer wins because cashback websites such as Cashfat send more customers their way, you will benefit because you will get to shop online and make money on every purchase, and Cashfat benefits because it gets to keep some of the commission offered by the retailer in return for the referral.

Okay, that’s enough talk from us….click here and sign up for an account on Cashfat, start shopping and earn some cash back! Have fun!

Best Cashback Website in India

Cashback Website in India

Online shopping is hot in India, and as an online shopper, you are in high demand, from retailers and from cashback sites in India such as CashFat.com. You may rest assured that every online business wants to be favored by you.

You may have heard of cashback websites, maybe they are an entirely new thing for you. If you are not sure about how they work, here is a quick rundown for you on what cashback sites do and don’t.

The idea of cashbacks shopping sites is pretty simple, and it is similar to the cashback program that your credit card may be offering cashback. The idea is that instead of going to an online retailer’s website, such as Flipkart or Amazon directly, you go to a india cashbacks website such as CashFat.com.

There, you can click on the retailer’s link, and shop for the products that you are interested in.  It is a simple concept. In return for doing so, those who register on the cashback website are given a small rebate or a cashback coupon on what they spend. In return, the cashback websites get a commission for driving traffic to the retailer’s website. This is how they can afford to pay back some of the money to you.

So how will you get paid? It will take time for you to get paid, perhaps a few weeks after the purchase. In fact you can withdraw your money as soon as it reaches a certain threshold, which can be from Rs. 250 to Rs. 500. So if you want to be paid faster, you will need to make a big purchase, so that the money earned by you on the cashback website crosses the threshold faster.

Let’s talk a bit about cashback websites in India.

Cashback websites are still a relatively new thing in India and sites such as CashFat.com are among the pioneers of the industry. But cashback sites in the UK and the USA have been around for a long time. Some of the players such as eBates.com, FatWallet.com, Extrabux, UPromise, BeFrugal.com, ShopAtHome.com, MyPoints, Swagbucks and CouponCabin are big players in the West.

Generally, Cashback websites such as CashFat.com have a decent reputation.  But if you are not familiar with them, you should be sure to perform a quick research on these websites. For example, you can perform a Google search with the name of the cashback website with the word “complaints”.  So if there are any serious complaints against the website, you will know for sure and will be in a position to decide better whether to use it or not.

No cashback website asks you to pay a membership fee. If it does, then you should be worried about it and perhaps it could be a scam. Look for something else. Don’t use too many cashback websites, use only two or three that you feel comfortable with and which have given you great results. In fact, we would advise you to stick to CashFat alone for better returns.

Now, one of the problems with signing up with a cashback website is that you will get many emails from them, apprising you of the latest offers. So it is better if you use an email that you don’t use too often for these websites.

Now, how to take advantage of the cashback websites? Look for those that give you the best deals. Compare the percentage you are getting on them with other cashback websites. The percentage difference is not small, but even the smallest percentage point matters when you are trying to make money.

Also, it is important to understand that the cashback that you give is based on the commission that is received by the cashback site after the taxes and other charges are deducted. So don’t be disappointed if the coupons cashback is smaller than you thought.

The fact is it is free money for you, and so pretty much worth it. Think big, the more you spend, the more you will earn. So if you want to buy a high priced product such as a smartphone or a tablet, buy it from your favorite store through Cashfat, this way will make more money in cashback out of the purchase.

You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by shopping at your favorite online stores whether it is Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, eBay, Jabong, ShopClues or Zivame on CashFat. So enjoy yourself and have fun shopping!
